Problem Solver > Weeds > Dandelions

While children may make wishes on the fuzzy heads of these perennial pests, gardener’s and lawn enthusiasts tend to curse the little yellow flowers of the dandelion when they appear, and for good reason. Dandelions will push out grass and other plants and well as stealing water and nutrients away from surrounding plants. Dandelion control also tends to be difficult due to their fluffy, far floating seeds. But the answer to the question of how to rid dandelions is simply a matter of thoroughness, patience and Brunnings.

Symptoms-
Appear amongst the grass in your lawn. They contain a very long tap root with mid-green and deeply divided leaves. Flowers are yellow, petalled heads not dissimilar to double daises. After flowering occurs, a fluffy, round seed head appears. Once the fluffy seed heads appear, the number of dandelions in your yard (and your neighbour’s) will multiply.
